Stephan Urs Breu

Stephan Urs Breu was born 1965 in St. Gallen, Switzerland, and has an impressive, but fake curriculum vitae, with a strong Russian affiliation:

Karate Kid Stephan Breu

Member of the Council for the coordination of International and Innovation Activities of Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) – Member of the Editorial Board of the scientific Journal « Law and Digital Economy » published by Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL), Russia. Notable graduates of MSAL include:

Vladimir Kryuchkov, a Soviet lawyer, diplomat, and head of the KGB; Alexander Korzhakov, a former KGB general who served as Boris Yeltsin‘s bodyguard, confidant, and adviser for eleven years; Anatoly Kucherena, an attorney representing Edward Snowden’s interests in the Russian Federation; Roman Abramovich, the first person to recommend to Yeltsin that Vladimir Putin be his successor as the Russian president.

The CV also includes a 2016 “Doctorate in Business Administration (LUI, Florida)” and “educated as banker” in St. Gallen. However, Breu does not have any legal education, and the “LUI” is a non-existing university.

In addition, Breu endorses Russian war crimes in Ukraine via his Association of Russian Diplomats. His CV states the following:

The Honorary Badge of the All Russia Public Organization “Association of Russian Diplomats” is rarely bestowed by the organization to selective recipients which are considered worthy of the honor.
What kind of services has this Swiss “banker” supplied to Russian diplomats?

Endorsing war crimes

Russian Deputy Chairman of the Board of Breu’s Association of Russian Diplomats Andrey Baklanov said that Germany and its Minister of Defense do not have the moral ground to condemn Russia’s actions in Ukraine, because Russia was the victim of Nazi Germany and its policies in an interview that aired on Alghad TV (Egypt/UAE) on February 24, 2022. He stated that it was the German nation and people who had brought Hitler and the Nazis to power and said that the Nazis killed 26 million Russians and six million Jews. Baklanov said that Russia is “preparing the ground for the restoration of normal life in Ukraine.” He added that Russia will not allow the “fascist regime” of Ukraine or any of its other neighbours to obtain nuclear weapons, and that “we will attack them before they even try.” Baklanov is the Head of the International Affairs Department of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and serves as Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Association of Russian Diplomats.

Rape and the deportation of children

United Nations investigation has found further evidence that Russian forces committed “indiscriminate attacks” and war crimes in Ukraine, including rape and the deportation of children to Russia. “The collected evidence further shows that Russian authorities have committed the war crimes of wilful killing, torture, rape and other sexual violence, and the deportation of children to the Russian Federation,” a United Nations commission of inquiry on Ukraine said in a report submitted to the UN general assembly. “The commission has recently documented attacks that affected civilian objects, such as residential buildings, a railway station, shops, and a warehouse for civilian use, leading to numerous casualties.”

  1. Swiss bankers have been accused of helping Russian oligarchs evade sanctions imposed by Western countries in response to the invasion of Ukraine. These accusations have been based on allegations that Swiss banks have been providing Russian oligarchs with access to their assets, which are frozen in many Western countries.

Some of the ways in which Swiss bankers have been accused of helping Russian oligarchs include:

    > Opening new accounts for Russian oligarchs
    > Providing them with access to their existing accounts
    > Helping them to transfer their assets to other jurisdictions
    > Providing them with financial advice
    > These activities have been criticized by anti-corruption activists and politicians, who argue that they are allowing Russian oligarchs to continue to fund the war in Ukraine.

The Swiss government has denied that its banks are doing anything illegal, but it has also acknowledged that there are some loopholes in Swiss banking law that could be exploited by Russian oligarchs. The government has said that it is taking steps to close these loopholes.

The allegations that Swiss bankers are helping Russian oligarchs evade sanctions have damaged the reputation of the Swiss banking industry. The industry is now facing calls for greater transparency and accountability.
